To Annecy with La Farandola and LoisonÂ’s confections

The taste and tradition of Vicenza traveled to sister city Annecy, France. During the “Noel des Alpes” event that took place in December, folk group “La Farandola” participated in the scheduled Christmas initiatives and conveyed the tradition of Vicenza and the Veneto region with folk dances.

Councilor Giancarlo Pesce, in charge of sister cities relations planned the initiative for the purpose of promoting cultural exchange in the spirit of friendship and peace during the holiday season, so to strengthen the relationships between two cities with different traditions and customs.

For Loison, nothing could be more natural than to support this initiative by setting up stands with Christmas specialties. Thanks to the active contribution of the group ‘La Farandola’, the French cousins got to taste Loison Panettoni, whose soft and fragrant texture was highly appreciated, along with the sweet breads’ stylish packaging.

On December 27-28, the thirteen members of the Venetian folk group entertained the public with traditional dances as they performed at Forum de Bonlieu in the magical atmosphere of Christmas, Italian-style!
