Loison Panettone triumphs at Italian Gala Dinner in Melbourne
On June 20th, over 600 prominent guests, including Ambassador Pier Francesco Zazo, attended the event held at the Palladium Room of the Crown Towers to celebrate authentic Gusto Italiano, Italian food and wine at its best
On June 20th, the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Melbourne held an Italian Gala Dinner in the impressive Palladium Room of the Crown Towers. Organized to celebrate the end of the financial year, the event was attended by about 600 guests, including the most prominent families of Melbourne, the Italian Ambassador Pier Francesco Zazo, the Ambassador of the European Union Sem Fabrizi, the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Affairs Concetta Fierravanti-Wells, the Victorian Governor and many other institutional and political representatives.
The dinner was a full-fledge celebration of Italian style and elegance with the aim of exalting Gusto Italiano, Italian food and wine at its best. Emphasis was placed on authentic Italian cuisine with live cooking demonstrations led by Chef Luca Ciano and tasting experiences to learn more about Italian tastes.
The sweet part of the evening featured an array of Loison confections, with samples of the best Loison Panettone and Pandoro cakes. The great charm of the packaging and the superb, one-of-a-kind taste of the sweets conquered all the guests, who noticed and appreciated the various varieties available: the traditional Classic, the intense Mandarin, the rich Marron Glacé, the innovative Licorice & Saffron and the smooth Tart Cherry, which captivated mostly the ladies.
All of Loison confections were served with an Italian staple: Prosecco wine!
